Having made it up the first pitch of Spire One was a great accomplishment
after having been rejected twice before! While this belay ledge was
somewhat protected from the wind, the second pitch traverses around to the
north where the wind was howling. We decided to save the rest of the
climb for a nicer day, besides, we had to be hitting the road back to Omaha.
