At 7242 feet, Harney Peak is the highest peak between the Rockies and the
Alps of Europe. Once used as a fire lookout, this old stone tower now
draws numerous hikers to the top of the peak to see the views. We
first ascended it on our honeymoon in 1995 and have been up here many times
since.
