After Will and Alison warmed up on Tent Peg, and Angela and I had climbed
Kingpin, I convinced Will that he just had to climb Tricouni Nail as we had
the year before. This route has the reputation of being one of the
best 5.8's in the Black Hills, and I must agree. The fact that this is
one of the few Royal Robins' routes in the Black Hills also adds to the
intrigue. This photo shows Will at the one good rest stance on the
route.
