In May, 2004, we went on yet another exploratory hike with Will and Alison.
This time we hiked south from Horsethief Lake along the Horsethief Lake
trail. Angela and I had seen part of this area during 2000, when we
spent a couple rainy days hiking in the area, but then we had ventured
southeast to Mount Rushmore. This time we continued on to the
southwest into the heart of an area called the Playground. Here we are
scrambling around on some rocks somewhere near Spatula and Dorsal.
