This shot is from September, 2001 when we finally got our friends Will and
Alison to come and check out the Black Hills' climbing. From this
angle you can see the amazing nature of the rock that Gossamer ascends.
The rock itself, is aptly named Picture Window, and yes, it is quite a
thrill to climb past that huge hole in the rock. Though I was just
recovering from a nasty bout of the flu, I couldn't resist leading this
climb again--it's just so much fun!
