After warming up on the first pitch of Captain Nemo, we
headed over to do the first pitch of Friday the Thirteenth (5.10a).
Normally I wouldn't even attempt such a difficult trad lead, but Chris, who
had been up it several times, assured me that the crux was in the first 15
feet of thin crack. Beyond that he promised perfect hands--and I just
couldn't pass that up!
