Angela and I left Omaha the night before the rest of our friends so we could
sneak in an extra full day of climbing. We arrived about midnight and
slept in our sleeping bags next to the car. I awoke just before
sunrise and quickly grabbed my camera to catch the early morning light.
I got carried away hunting for that perfect shot and wandered further and
further from our little camp. When Angela awoke, she had no idea where
I was and was a bit miffed when she finally caught up with me. She
understood my need to get out in the early morning light but would have
appreciated it if I hadn't just disappeared! And I thought I was being
nice for quietly sneaking away and letting her get another 30 minutes of
sleep! Oh, well... Live and Learn!
