From the top of the tenth pitch, the angle of the ridge really
kicked back, but it looked like there were still several more obstacles to
overcome before we would reach the top. Unsure of exactly what we might
run into, we stayed tied in and I headed out on yet another pitch.
The
climbing at this point was quite easy and not very exposed at all. There
were a few short walls to surmount along the way, but with good route finding we
were able to find easy ways through each of them. When I ran out of rope
after 60m, Angela pulled her belay anchor and began following behind.
Apparently we still had some distance to go before reaching the summit.
After being disappointed by so many false summits throughout the afternoon, I
was very skeptical about actually seeing the summit until I was standing right
on top of it.
