Could it be? The top!!!The Summit!

I topped yet another pile of rocks and suddenly had more of a view ahead than I had had all day.  Peaks that had been hiding behind Wiwaxy all day suddenly exposed themselves.  Could we have possibly reached the top?  Across the way I noticed a strange pile of rocks.  Was it a cairn marking the end of our journey upward or just another random pile of rocks (if truth be told, Wiwaxy Peak is really just one BIG CAIRN!)?  Only one way to find out for sure--I headed across for a closer inspection and found myself unquestionably on top of Wiwaxy Peak!  Without pause, I put Angela on a hip belay.  If only she knew she was only 200 feet from the top!  Soon she joined me and we propped our camera on that very handsome cairn to capture our summit portrait.  It was 2:57.  While we would certainly not be back for the 4:30 bus, we now had 3 1/2 hours to find our way back to camp nearly 2,300 feet below us.

Together on top! Oh Yeah! I found the way down!

Let's get off this rock!
