On our last day in New Hampshire, we decided to climb in an area known as Kinsman Notch.  Rod and Angel hadn't been to this area yet, so it was new to all of us.  We found the roadside pullout easily, but with 8-10 inches of fresh snow, the "obvious approach" wasn't that obvious.  Eventually Rod sniffed it out and we were on our way up to the cliffs.  The length and difficulty of this approach hike is definitely dependent on your level of enthusiasm!  It was steep, snowy and slippery.  If we'd been thinking we would have put our crampons on much earlier than we eventually did.
